Whitehall Mailboxes.

A mailbox is an essential accessory for homes so when choosing a mailbox you not only have to consider the one that will suit your needs but also the one that will enhance your outdoor décor.

Of course, the most important thing is that they must keep your mail safe from weather; they must be weatherproof since they are exposed to the outdoor. New look.

After grueling days of working with html codes, my blog is finally sporting a new layout. It didn’t take me much time to decide what to use as a template, it’s been a while when I decided that I would love a three-column layout for my blog. It’s just that I understand that changing my layout would require too much time. Besides, I’m not really good with web design and it scares me to mess up my blog.

However, it was fun working and designing this layout especially when you are already looking at the fruits of your labor. I learn new things through trial-and-error and I was amazed with the changes that I can really do with my blog. I’m actually looking forward to dress up my other blog.

By the way, I would like to mention that my template was from Pannasmontata, a template designer from Italy. I made some minor modifications and I needed to tweak the header and changed the image.

I spent much time rebuilding my blog list but in case I missed out on your link, I apologize and I assure you that it is not intentional. If that will be the case, kindly buzz me so I can rectify the mistake.

I hope you like this layout as much as I love it…. Happy blogging to all!

Camelback Displays

I have always been fascinated with trade show exhibits. It really requires hard work to put up a fantastic trade show display from the table top to banner stands and the elegant display booths. So if you’re setting up a booth at a trade show, then invest in making it attractive with your trade show displays. Buying running shoes online.

Buying a good pair of running shoes is not as easy as it was before. When I was a teenager, we only had a couple of choices and brands unlike now that we are inundated with different brands and models with different features. We have to remember that the wrong pair of shoes could lead to blisters or even knee problems so choosing the best pair of shoes should be taken seriously. It is best to try out different brands and types to figure out which is best for you.

However, I hate the idea of trudging to the mall to look for good quality running shoes in reasonable prices. It is a good thing that the internet has no shortage of choices on anything and everything that you could possibly want online like running shoes. But among the online stores out there, only ShopWiki gives customers the widest choices for products online. You will only find enough information about the products, buying guides, articles and so many useful resources on how to find the right products that you need.

I’ve tried looking for running shoes in shopwiki and I was able to see running shoes in different brands, with different features, colors and shapes. They are arranged in different categories so it will be easier to navigate and you can sort the products by relevance and price. Major running shoe brands include Nike, Adidas, Asics and New Balance. With such great features, ShopWiki is the best place to go when shopping online.

Buying lamps and lighting fixtures.

Choosing lamps and lighting fixtures can be difficult. You may already spend weeks of intense window shopping for the perfect lamp but when you put the lamp on the desired location, it doesn’t look quite right. Well that could happen so you may want to consider all the things first before deciding on buying a lamp or lamp shade. You have to consider the purpose and location where you will put the new lamp. Will it be put on a table or on the floor? Is it for general lighting or for subtle ambient lighting?

Whether it needs to be pretty or functional just makes a big difference in the type of lamp you should consider. Of course, you don’t need a rocket science degree to realize that floor lamps are the right choice for placement on floors and table lamps for the floor.

Torchieres lamps and other styles of floor lamps can provide a decent amount of general light to illuminate a room. Multi-purpose desk lamps should cast enough light to allow you to read.

You may want to consider browsing through the different lamps and lighting fixtures in the internet first and decide which best suits your need. A website that you can depend when it comes to lamps and lighting fixtures is Farreys.com which offers a wide range of styles and at the lowest prices from dozens of top manufacturers.. They have a history of superior service and they could offer volume discounts. You can shop online by lamp brand, by lamp application or even by style.

Young Elsa thinks she has seen the Virgin Mary and goes on a healing crusade -- just the miracle the nowhere town she lives in is looking for. How to kill fire ants?

They may be small but they can be invasive. They can also damage property and can harm people. I’m referring to fire ants. According to Wikipedia, the FDA estimates that more than US$5 billion is spent yearly on medical treatment, damage, and control in areas infested by fire ants. Moreover, the ants cause approximately US$750 million in damage annually to agricultural assets. Some countries like the US, Taiwan and Australia all have continuing national efforts to control or eradicate the species.

I hate it when these ants sting, it causes sting and leaves swelling which can cause pain and irritation. Fire Ant stings can even be a deadly experience for those small few who are allergic to the venom. When Fire Ants sting it is rarely only one sting. They attack in large numbers and when the first ant stings it triggers a reaction that causes all the ants to sting at one time.

Do you know that unlike bees, ants can sting up to 20 times in succession injecting toxin with each sting? Now you know and you now have enough reasons to get rid of these insects.

You can kill these insects in many ways but some are not effective as the others. I was able to find a web site that can serve as your guide on how to kill red fire ants. Visit the Fire Ants guide and learn how to effectively eliminate these pesky insects.

Rave reviews from NYTimes, NY Post for Charice.

Fresh from her successful performance in the concert of international pop star Celine Dion at Madison Square Garden, sixteen-year-old Charice continues to earn the admiration of fans worldwide after two major newspapers, the New York Times and the New York Post, praises her performance last September 15.

In an article published September 16, reviewer Jon Caramanica of The New York Times described Charice's voice as "impressive" and praised the young diva for giving a rougher, more emotional edge to her performance of Dion's hit song "Because You Loved Me."

"They performed 'Because You Loved Me', though Ms. Dion mostly stayed out of the way as Ms. Pempengco explored the song’s heretofore unheard rougher edges, with ample gesticulations and melisma.

"As Ms. Pempengco brought the crowd to its feet, Ms. Dion struck poses behind her: awestruck wonder, heartfelt empathy, ambient triumph," the New York Times review read.

On a separate review written by Dan Aquilante of the New York Post described Charice's performance as the brightest moment of the Celine Dion concert.
"One of the most interesting turns in this show was the MSG debut of 16-year-old vocal prodigy Charice Pempengco, whose manager, Oprah Winfrey - that's right - secured the Philippine singer a duet with Celine for the song 'Because You Loved Me.'

"The Charice segment was the night's brightest moment. The teen was able to blast notes with Celine-like power, but she was also able to get in touch with the song's emotions," the review read.

In the concert, the Canadian international star first told the life story of Charice.

"This young girl's name is Charice. I'm so excited. She's 16 years old and she's from the Philippines. Let me tell you she has a voice that can literally blow the roof off Madison Square. But the real story is, Charice and her mom escaped a terrifying experience and had to leave Charice's violent father. You know, to start a life on their own, Charice vowed to save her mom from life's desperation. Through prayers and dreams and God-given talent, an incredible voice, Charice entered and won every singing contest in her native country and eventually got noticed. By such a fortunate chance people saw the show on Oprah and Oprah wanted to take her under her wing and David Foster joined them.

"I had a chance to see Charice perform one of my songs in Oprah last week. I have a little difficulty to talk right now because I met Charice and I'm so emotional and so I'm searching and looking for my words trying to control my emotion. I invited here to come her tonight to sing with me...,” said Celine Dion.

After Celine's lovely introduction to Charice she invited her to come up on stage and join her. Celine then told Charice how spectacular she is and how she looked really beautiful.

Metropolitan Opera House tickets.

I have always wanted to watch an opera, it is a once in a lifetime experience that anybody who has enough musical or artistic sense should indulge into. This is something that I will surely put on my To Do List in the coming days.

However, buying Metropolitan Opera House tickets is an arduous task. You go to the venue, wait in the long queue even without an assurance that you will get the prized tickets. Calling the Opera house to order tickets is also not a good alternative as you may waste your precious time waiting for an available representative to talk to you.

Contacting an online broker to buy Metropolitan Opera House tickets is a better option. And when it comes to ticket brokers, always check out 2 Guys Tickets first. They pride themselves to have the cheap(er) prices and great service. John Grisham's "The Last Juror" ebook.

One of my favorite writers is John Grisham, he is best known for his works of modern legal drama like "The Firm" and "A Time To Kill" among others. He began working on THE LAST JUROR in the late '80s, wanting to write novels set in fictional Ford County, Mississippi, but he was interrupted by the success of THE FIRM. THE LAST JUROR breaks out of the mold of Grisham's usual legal thrillers into a story about the growth of Willie Traynor from a callow young man to an older and wiser one.

Description:

The story begins with the demise of a small-town newspaper, the Ford County Times, in 1970. Willie Traynor, 23-year-old former cub reporter for the paper, takes it over with money from his grandmother. The paper it creaks along until success comes with its first big story--the rape and murder of a young widow by Danny Padgitt, member of a local bootlegging family. Convicted, given a life sentence, and still utterly remorseless, Padgitt swears vengeance against the jurors who declared him guilty. When he is paroled nine years later, jurors begin to die.

Bulacan may have set world record with longest pastillas.

My hometown province of Bulacan was in the news last night after they attempted to make it in the Guinness Book of World Records by producing the longest pastillas. Pastillas is a sweet creamy Philippine pasty made of milk and sugar.

Bulakenyo’s and other visitors gathered to get a taste of the sweet delicacy and to see the province’s bold feat.

Reports had it that the pastillas was measured at 200 meters, five inches thick and weighed around 4,000 kilos. Had the entire pastillas was packed into smaller quantities, it could produce around half a million candies.

Its ingredients include 1,600 kilos of sugar and 12,800 liters of pure carabao’s milk.

After the formal measurement of the pastry, the swelling crowd immediately jostled their way to the display tables to get a taste of the delicious treat.

Sen. Bong Revilla and Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Bayani Fernando graced the event and even tasted the product. The latter was even shown on TV crawling under the table to avoid the rush of people who ate the free treat.

I just don’t know what the MMDA chairman was doing in this event. Yes, the 2010 election is around the corner but the moment should be given to the Bulakenyo’s outstanding feat not to some scene-stealers who wants to get media mileage.

Shift to a rewarding career, be a medical assistant.

I have always wanted to go back to school and shift to a more rewarding career. I’m considering a career in the medical or health care field since based on the projections the medical assisting field is expected to be the fastest growing jobs in the next decade. However, I can not afford to give up my job as I will not have the money to spend in my studies. But juggling between work and studies can be a tough nut to crack.

It’s a good thing that there are now medical assistant schools out there that provide the best training without the traditional classroom setup. Imagine, learning all the skills that you need at your own pace and convenience!

One of the schools that captured my fancy is the St. Augustine School of Medical Assistants. It has a nationally accredited and certified Medical Assistant program that is designed by expert healthcare professionals. You can now receive the best medical assistant training in 6-8 weeks although you can do it on your free time as there are no deadlines or time limits. And the program is affordable and accessible!

Don’t be left behind, be a medical assistant and secure a rewarding career. To learn more about the program and to register online, please visit their website.

A Crazy World.

I’m a regular viewer of the evening news on TV. It’s not only the best source of ideas for blogging but it will also let you attune to what’s happening to our country. Watching the news can make you feel bad and you may get the impression that this world is a crazy world and it will not be long and it will go to the dogs. Bank robbers, thieves, holduppers, cell phone snatchers are just everywhere and they are always featured in the evening news.

But who cares? Most of us have been accustomed to shrug our shoulders when misfortunes strike somebody or even our country.

Indeed, the news is just news unless we are part of it.

If you are guessing that I was on the evening news, not quite and I was glad about it. But today was a very bad day for me. Yes, I was a victim of a robbery hold up. Good thing, I was unscathed.

It happened early this morning, about 5:45 am. I hailed an FX taxi at about 5:30 on Commonwealth Ave. and seated at the back side. The vehicle was then full. Three other men were seated at the back, two ladies in front near the driver, three ladies and another man at the middle part. I noticed that the man fronting me was a bit jittery; he fidgeted on the door lock when I entered.

When we were along Tandang Sora Ave, he even asked me if I wanted to alight from the vehicle when I slightly move my handbag to make myself comfortable. Had I known better, I wished I moved out of the vehicle.

Just before we reached Agham Road, the man in front of me and the other man in the middle of the vehicle announced a holdup. I was shocked, I was at gunpoint. Giving my cash and other belongings was an easy task when a pistol is pointing at me. Cash, cell phones, wristwatches and even wedding rings were not spared by the crooks.

One of the robbers said: “Pera at cell phone lang yan, pero pag may pumalag buhay ang kapalit. Sisiguraduhin kong sa ulo ang mga tama niyo pag pumalag kayo… sasabog ang mga utak nyo dito.”

As if it was not enough, one of the crooks is blabbering about so many other things while other lady passengers were crying. An elderly lady even complains of chest pain. It was the longest 30 minutes of my life. It would have been less of a torture if they just left us immediately but it seemed that they were looking for the proper timing as it was already broad daylight.

From out of the blue, one of the crooks even said that the driver doesn’t have anything to do with what they were doing. But the statement even raises doubts from other passengers as they suspected that the driver was also involved.

The good thing about it was we managed to emerge unscathed on that FX. We went straight to the Police Station and had a not so good experience there as well. I’ll continue to recount my experience next time….

Pinoys out to set Guinness record for longest beer bar.

Local beer lovers thronged to Ortigas Friday night as the country attempts to break the world record for setting up the longest beer bar in the world in line with the San Miguel Corporation’s Oktoberfest celebration in Manila.

Free beers were offered to partygoers and beer drinkers on 200 bars set up from San Miguel Ave. to St. Francis in Mandaluyong. This setup was measured at around 600 meters, 360 meters longer than the record set in Taiwan, the current Guinness record-holder.

The Philippines will also attempt to set the Guinness record for most number of people toasting for a beer event.

Organizers said that aside from free beers, thousands of Friday’s "beer troopers" will be treated to a free concert where at least 40 rock bands are scheduled to play. The main feature presents alternative rock band Third Eye Blind.

Fireworks display at the party site also highlights the event.
