Filipino pride, Charice, sang her first international single on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" last Monday. Accompanied by an orchestra and with David Foster in the piano, Charice gave a performance that brought Oprah, one of the world’s influential women to tears.
The song is entitled “Note to God” which was composed and written by Grammy Award-winning Diane Warren and produced by Foster.
On tonight’s evening news on ABS-CBN was a report that hours after her performance on “The Oprah Winfrey Show,” Charice’s first single is now one of iTunes and Amazon.com's bestsellers.
Based on the report, Amazon.com showed that “Note to God” was No. 2 on its list of popular songs in terms of number of downloads, even beating hit songs by Lady GaGa and Miley Cyrus. Meanwhile, the single is on the fifth spot on iTunes’ most popular songs.

I saw that. She was very good.
I get goosebumps whenever I see the reaction of the people (foreign people) when she sings. Still not a fan of her, though.

Think about it, "foreigners" (mentioned by Badong) who like what they hear in Charice have different esthetic taste than most Filipinos residing in the Philippines who prefer local professional singers who, by the way, have their own share of youtube exposures like Charice but had never been well received as Charice abroad. I am not judging anyone's musical taste but this happens to be just my observation.
What a proud moment for her, and her country. Many congrats.
