Rubilen Amit of the Philippines captured the first ever JBET Poker.net Women’s World 10 –Ball championship on a thrilling finals match last Saturday. The Filipina cue artist defeated Liu Shin Min Liu of Taiwan to secure the victory.
Amit asserted her dominance in the match by posting a 10-4 lead to win the match in the Sky Dome at SM North Edsa in Quezon City.
The Filipina pocketed the $20,000 top purse and the honor of being the first Women's World 10-Ball champion.
Among the contenders were Women’s World No. 1 Kelly “Kwikfire” Fisher of UK, 9-Ball champion Allison “Duchess of Doom” Fisher of UK, former No. 1 Jeanette Lee of the US, and Jasmin Ouschan of Austria.
The Filipina is also a three-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist.
