It’s not fun to get sick. I’ve been ill twice in the last 2 months and I can tell you that it wasn’t a good experience. In one instance, I failed to report to the office for 5 consecutive days. Luckily, I was able to file for sick leave but I still missed a lot of online opportunities because of that illness.
If there’s one thing that I learned from that experience, it was to invest on how to prevent diseases. I was even reluctant before to take multivitamins and other health supplements. But now I know better. It’s better to spend on vitamins to boost my immune system than to spend more on medication when I got sick. Indeed, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
Another thing that is worth doing to prevent sickness is to be informed about different diseases and how to fight them. We can learn about disease symptoms
so you have an idea on how to combat the disease. Some diseases can even be cured by medicines that can be administered at home while on some mild cases herbal medicines can help.
However, for more serious cases, it is best to consult a health specialist to avoid worsening the situation. This is also true for cases of mental or psychiatric disorders. A doctor who specializes in psychiatric medicine should be consulted. If you are interested to know about psychiatric medicine, you can visit the site of Dr Daniel Amen to learn more about his specializations.
