The male diva Marcelito Pomoy was proclaimed grand winner of the country’s biggest nationwide talent search, ABS-CBN’s “Pilipinas Got Talent (PGT) Season 2 last Sunday.
The singer from Cavite, who can effortlessly sing like a diva, beat 13 other grand finalists after garnering 19.56% of the total text votes. He won a whopping P2 million in cash prize.
The tap dancing duo Happy Feet and the dance group Freestylers came in second and third. They got 18.32% and 9.46% text votes, respectively.
Last Saturday’s episode of PGT became a trending topic worldwide on Twitter while the 14 grand finalists performed spectacular numbers at the Araneta Coliseum.
