Azkals victorious over Tajikistan 2-1

The Philippine Football Team Azkals just earned a ticket to the semifinals of the 2012 AFC Challenge Cup after beating the team from Tajikistan 2-1 at full time.

It was a come from behind victory as the Tajikistan scored a goal in the first half making the score 1-nil. But the Azkals showed incredible character as they worked hard on their defense and unrelenting attacks.

Their hard work paid off on the 54th minute as striker Phil Younghusband scored the first goal for the Azkals. The second goal was a header from Angel Guirado which came in the 80th minute.

The Philippine Team will face Turkmenistan on Friday in the semifinals.
