MYX Daily Top 10 - June 18, 2010 Featuring "Kung Wala Na Nga" by 6 Cyclemind

For today’s MYX Daily Top 10, I’m happy to see two OPM acts who managed to climb in the top three spots in the countdown. “Kung Wala Na Nga” by Filipino band 6Cyclemind is at number 2 while another Pinoy band Callalily is occupying the number 3 spot with their song “Gabay.” Korean band “Super Junior” still owns the number 1 spot with “Bonamana.”

The number 2 song "Kung Wala Na Nga" is included in 6Cyclemind’s album entitled “Project: 6Cyclemind” which was released last year. The band is composed of Rhoneil "Ney" Dimaculangan on lead vocals, Ryan "Rye" Sarmiento on rhythm guitars and backup vocals, Carlos "Chuck" Isidro on lead guitars, Bobby "Bob" Cañamo on bass guitar and Tito Fortunato "Tutti" Caringal on drums and backup vocals. Chuck Isidro was the former lead guitarist of the band “AfterImage” before it disbanded.

Have you ever wondered where they’ve got the name of their band? Well, according to some sources, it comes from the 5 members of the band plus their manager to form a group of 6 which have been working collectively to contribute in the continuous cycle of creating music, hence the name 6 Cyclemind. Theirs is a fusion of alternative and pop music.
