Filipino Pride: Pacman rules! Knocks out Hatton in second round

After all that was said and done about the Pacquaio-Hatton fight, only one man emerges victorious. And it turns out to be the Filipino boxing champion. Indeed, there were even more national anthems played than the fight rounds in the most anticipated boxing fight of the year.

Manny Pacquiao came out too stong for the British fighter. The Filipino fighter dropped Ricky Hatton twice in the first round and knocked him cold at the end of the second to score a stoppage at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The Filipino, who is now considered as the pound-for-pound king, was fighting in his fourth different weight class. He is now the only fighter in history to have won linear title in four different weight classes.

Once again, Manny Pacquiao made all Filipinos proud. Mabuhay ka, Manny!

i really do not follow boxing ( I could not understand the sport), but everytime Manny has a fight, it does not go unnoticed since there is always a height of excitement in the air. They show last night in TV here how the Filipino community in San Diego area rejoiced and celebrated his victory.

i only watch boxing if Manny is the one in the ring.otherwise,i find it boring seeing boxers skipping around, avoiding punches.not so much action.but if it's manny,i'm glued.he doesn't seem to tire down.his punches and body movements are calculated.he doesn't attack without brains and surely he gets all the more fired up when he's hit by the opponent.that makes manny's fights exciting and to-the-edge.his fight with hatton was shocking.yes,i (and maybe the rest of the world) was shocked with hatton...coz i never expected him to get knocked out after only 2 rounds.sigh.and to think mayweather was too cocky.

I feel proud for what Manny did! But I believe we can also do better in other things aside from boxing. :)
