In whatever language, mother is unquestionably the most adorable and the most beautiful word. This word stands for a world of things a mother gives to her child along with the sacrifices, sorrows and grief she has to undergo for her children. Indeed, you can have a number of husbands or wives but you can only have one mother. She is simply irreplaceable. That is why the most important person in an individual’s life is his or her mother.

Tomorrow, we will celebrate the Mother’s Day and one of the best ways to honor Mother’s Day is to give our mother a day off. Let her take it easy and relax while the rest of the family does the work. It is a good day to let our mom unwind and let her see what a wonderful family she has.

As we celebrate the Mother’s Day, let’s take our time to honor our mothers and express gratitude for the hardships they bear in bringing us up.

Here is an interesting poem I stumbled upon Mother’s Day on the Net:

M - O - T - H - E - R

"M" is for the million things she gave me,

"O" means only that she's growing old,

"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,

"H" is for her heart of purest gold;

"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,

"R" means right, and right she'll always be,

Put them all together, they spell

"MOTHER,"

A word that means the world to me.

Howard Johnson (c. 1915)
