Filipina wins in the Arizona Women's Billiard Tour

Here's another Filipino pride in Sports. Pinay cue artist Iris Rañola bagged the Arizona Women’s Billiard Tour stop in Tucson, Arizona by winning over Emily Wilmoth of the US.

Based on the report posted on BilliardPhilippines.com said the Zamboanga native scored 7-6 against Wilmoth to emerge as the top winner among 26 competitors.

The two pool players battled each other to a 4-4 tie before Wilmoth called for a break. After the breather, Wilmoth surged ahead by two racks but Rañola bounced back to take the next three and won the game.

The Filipino pocketed the $500 top prize.

Rañola also bested American Michelle Micik, 7-3, on her way to the finals.

The Filipino is fresh from a runner-up finish in this year's WPBA US Open 9-Ball before competing in Arizona.
