Keith Agovida, a high school basketball player of Jose Rizal University (JRU) unleashed a record-setting shooting spree never before seen in Philippine basketball as he scored 82 points in a 127-49 defeat of Mapua last Friday.

National Collegiate Athletic Association officials said the 18-year-old, 6’1" Agovida is now NCAA's highest scorer in over 80 years. The feat is the highest in the league's history since Letran Squire Marlon Bola Bola dropped 71 in the '70s.

This is also the highest scoring yield in the history of Philippine basketball since Allan Caidic of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) torched the net with 79 points in 1987.

Agovida, also beat the second-highest scoring output in NBA history set by Kobe Bryant who scored 81 points.
